NOTICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL BY-ELECTION
THE ELECTION COMMITTEE

In accordance with section 8 of the Electoral Affairs Commission (Electoral Procedure) (Legislative Council) Regulation, notice is hereby given that a by-election for the Election Committee is to be held to return one Member of the Legislative Council. If the number of validly nominated candidates for that by-election is more than one, a poll will be held on 16 September 2001.

A nomination in the specified form for the by-election must be handed in by the nominated candidate in person and received by the Returning Officer at 3rd Floor, East Wing, Central Government Offices, Lower Albert Road, Hong Kong during ordinary business hours on any day other than a general holiday (i.e. from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday) from 2 August 2001 to15 August 2001, both days inclusive.

Nomination form may be obtained free of charge during ordinary business hours on any day other than a general holiday from the Returning Officer at the above address, or from the Registration and Electoral Office at 10th Floor, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong or 10th Floor, Guardian House, 32 Oi Kwan Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
