NOTICE OF BY-ELECTION
Hong Kong Island Geographical Constituency

Notice is hereby given that a by-election for the above-mentioned geographical constituency is to be held to return one Member for that geographical constituency. If the number of validly nominated candidates is more than one, a poll will be held on 10 December 2000.

A nomination in the specified form for the by-election must be handed in by the nominated candidate in person and received by the Returning Officer for the above constituency at 11/F, Eastern Law Courts Building, 29 Tai On Street, Sai Wan Ho, Hong Kong during ordinary business hours on any day other than a general holiday (i.e. from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday) from 20 October 2000 to 2 November 2000, both days inclusive.

Nomination form may be obtained free of charge during ordinary business hours on any day other than a general holiday from the Returning Officer for the constituency at the above address, or from the Chief Electoral Officer at the Registration and Electoral Office, 10th floor, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
