Replacement of Registered Particulars Relating to Candidates on Ballot Papers

Subject to sections 24 and 25 of the Particulars Relating to Candidates on Ballot Papers (Legislative Council) Regulation, a prescribed body or a prescribed person may apply for the registration of particulars to replace the same kind of particulars that is registered in relation to the body or the person.  

Current Registration Cycle

The completed application form and all relevant documents should be submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer (Address : 10th Floor, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong) on or before 16 April 2007 *. Applications for replacement received after 16 April 2007 will be processed in the next annual registration cycle.

Next Annual Registration Cycle

Starts on 1 January 2008 and ends on 31 December 2008.

* In accordance with s71(1)(b) of the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance (Cap. 1, the Laws of Hong Kong), the relevant statutory cut-off date will be deferred from 15 April 2007 to 16 April 2007 as 15 April 2007 is a public holiday.
