Objection to Continued Registration of Particulars Relating to Candidates on Ballot Papers
Subject to section 22 of the Particulars Relating to Candidates on Ballot Papers (Legislative Council) Regulation, any person may object to the continued registration of an abbreviation of the Chinese name or the English name of a prescribed body and an emblem of a prescribed body or a prescribed person.
The completed objection form and all relevant documents should be submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer (Address : 10th Floor, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong) on or before 16 April 2007 *. Objections received after 16 April 2007 will be processed in the next annual cycle which starts on 1 January 2008 and ends on 31 December 2008.
The form may also be obtained from the District Offices or Registration and Electoral Office.
* In accordance with s71(1)(b) of the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance (Cap. 1, the Laws of Hong Kong), the relevant statutory cut-off date will be deferred from 15 April 2007 to 16 April 2007 as 15 April 2007 is a public holiday.
