NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION OF THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL
(THE ELECTION COMMITTEE)

Notice is hereby given that there are 6 Members to be returned for the Election Committee.

A nomination in the specified form for the Members of the Election Committee must be handed in by the nominated candidate in person (except where the Chief Electoral Officer, on application, allows another means of delivery) and received by the Returning Officer for the Election Committee at Room 362, East Wing, Central Government Offices, Lower Albert Road, Hong Kong during ordinary business hours on any day other than a general holiday (i.e. from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday) from 20 July 2000 to 2 August 2000, both days inclusive.

Specified forms of nomination may be obtained free of charge during ordinary business hours on any day other than a general holiday from District Offices or the office of the Returning Officer for the Election Committee at the above address, or from the Registration and Electoral Office, 10th floor, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.

If the number of validly nominated candidates exceeds the number of Members to be returned by the Election Committee, a poll will be held on 10 September 2000.
